To Every Generation of Veteran: Thank You

Every day of my life I pray for peace around the world, peace in the mind of every sentient being, I hope for no more wars or evil to prevail – I also know these hopes and prayers are scarce in my immediate reality so I also pray for the safety of my family and country. For the safety of every person fighting for our freedom in the United States. I have great gratitude for veterans of the past and present that have sacrificed time away from family, their own sanity, the option of a “normal” life away from the front lines and in some instances sacrificed their very own life to defend our Nation against those that have tried to force us into submission or nonexistence.

We are a strong union of people, and would be much less without the firm wall of defense our United States military has provided to us.

To all persons in every branch:

Air Force

Army

Coast Guard

Marine Corps

Navy

THANK YOU.

Having spent time in the U.S. Army myself, I hold the Army Values and words of the Soldier’s Creed close to my heart.

“I am an American Soldier.
I am a Warrior and a member of a team.
I serve the people of the United States, and live the Army Values.
I will always place the mission first.
I will never accept defeat.
I will never quit.
I will never leave a fallen comrade.
I am disciplined, physically and mentally tough, trained and proficient in my warrior tasks and drills.
I always maintain my arms, my equipment and myself.
I am an expert and I am a professional.
I stand ready to deploy, engage, and destroy the enemies of the United States of America, in close combat.
I am a guardian of freedom and the American way of life.
I am an American Soldier.”
