So far, a couple times this June I took my daughter and a couple of her friends up to Wake Zone in Oklahoma City. It is a pretty neat place, and both days we went the weather was perfect.
My friend, Wendy, and I went to District House Coffee’s Dirty Little Latte Art Throwdown – a competition of latte art, TO THE DEATH! Okay, maybe not that last part, but it was a lot of fun.

Lake Hefner lighthouse is located on the eastern shore of the lake, just off Lake Hefner Parkway in Oklahoma City. It was prefabricated and erected by a “tilt-up” technique, for which it apparently won an award. It is also a great spot for taking pictures with a unique backdrop!
